First Parish Email Lists

FP_Lex_News A moderated list for First Parish news, events, and announcements only. A detailed description of appropriate content for this list is provided below.
FPCUU For other topics that are relevant to the the First Parish community.  If common themes emerge here, additional lists will be created.
 

Using the email lists:

 
Posting Messages To send a message to all of the members of an email list, send an email to:
[listname]@yahoogroups.com
(example: FP_Lex_News@yahoogroups.com, or fpcuu@yahoogroups.com)
Subscribing To subscribe to any email list, click on the name of the list above to send an email to:
[listname] -subscribe@yahoogroups.com
Unsubscribing To unsubscribe from an email list, send an email  to:
[listname] -unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Questions/Comments If you have any problems or questions regarding these lists, send an email to the list manager at:
[listname] -owner@yahoogroups.com
Appropriate content for FP_Lex_News messages:
  1. Announcement and coordination of First Parish events.
  2. Breaking news directly related to First Parish programs, activities, or the church community.
  3. Messages related to candidacy for elected positions at First Parish (only if sanctioned by the Nominating Committee).
  4. Requests for congregational input from committees and other First Parish groups
  5. Information regarding outside events that are in any way supported, sponsored, or  sanctioned by First Parish (or by one or more of its committees)
Not appropriate content for FP_Lex_News messages:

  1. Information that is not directly related to First Parish.
  2. Information on transactions (e.g. items for sale or items wanted)
  3. Outside political messages except as in point #6 above
  4. Announcement of outside events not directly related to First Parish
  5. Articles and readings except when sanctioned as above
